UPCOMING: Knowing Trees

UPCOMING: Knowing Trees

June 2, 2025 – July 18, 2025

Exhibition Details

Trees are a frequent subject of art works, especially in Canada where vast forests have fuelled economic and creative imaginations and where the humble maple leaf unites the nation. Trees symbolize connection and resilience, strength, beauty, and longevity. Linking the earth and the sky, tree branches stretch up and out—their leaves follow the sun.  Trees welcome contemplation and representations by artists.

Knowing Trees assembles a selection of art works from the permanent collections of Nickle Galleries that consider trees and our often-complicated relationships with them.
