This presentation features personal stories of key men and women associated with a new exhibition at UCalgary Founders Gallery at The Military Museums Blood, Sweat and Tears: Canadian Military Medicine. These stories cover nearly 150 years of Canadian history, and speak to the bravery, resilience, innovation and perseverance of our medical personnel.

Rory M. Cory received his Master of Arts in Military History from Simon Fraser University and has worked in museums for over three decades. Since 2006, he has been the Senior Curator and Director of Collections at The Military Museums in Calgary. Recent curatorial projects include the travelling exhibition Mission: AfghanistanFor You the War is Over: Second World War Prisoner of War Experiences; and Ring of Fire:  Canadians in the Pacific in the Second World War. In 2022 he was awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for his work with the Alberta Museums Association and the Organization of Military Museums of Canada.
