MacGregor will discuss a selection of her artworks that span more than 3 decades. She will focus on artworks that engage with representations of land and the building of community through art making, including her current photography, video and crochet project called Tree Lines.  This project, to date, has been shot in The Outer Hebrides, Scotland, in Athens, Greece and in the Ktunaxa territory of the Crow’s Nest Pass in BC.

Gwen MacGregor is an artist working in installation, video, photography and drawing. Her work is in a number of collections including the Art Gallery of Ontario, Oakville Galleries, Artbank, and the Royal Bank Collection. She has an Honours BA from York University, a Master’s in Cultural Geography from The University of Toronto and is pursuing a PhD in Cultural Geography.  Originally from Calgary, MacGregor is based in Toronto.
