Using the title of Melanie Townsend’s anthology about objects and display culture (2004) as a point of departure, curator Sarah Todd will  discuss her curatorial practice as a response to the very different, but similarly idiosyncratic collections she has worked with at Western Front in Vancouver BC, and currently at the Glenbow Museum.

Sarah Todd currently works as curator of art at the Glenbow Museum. She has previously held positions at Western Front, InterAccess Electronic Media Arts Centre, XPACE Cultural Centre, and The Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery. She has produced independent exhibition projects with organizations including Vtape Video Resource Centre, Kunstverein München, The Goethe Institute, and the Pacific Cinematheque. Sarah serves at Vice- President of the Board of Director at The New Gallery.
